East Street Archives. East Street Archives, is Gary Land’s personal love letter to snowboarding. It delivers a raw look and emotional journey from Gary about East Coast snowboarding during the golden era of riding in the 1990’s.
As an accomplished and award winning director and photographer whose career has produced an unparalleled portfolio of broadcast and publishing , his story began with photographing his friends surfing and skateboarding in Virginia Beach, VA. When he followed his instincts and moved to Vermont in 1993, Gary focused his energy and relationships around snowboarding. During the next several years he traveled, shot bricks of film, edited magazines, made new friends for life, and became an emerging creative force with each passing season.
